In this series, we’ll be celebrating the best of our 90-Year Anniversary – from our Club events to our record-breaking crowds and best performances – these are the moments that made 2025.
After a tough mid-season period, the NRLW Bulldogs bounced back in style in their Round 10 match at Accor Stadium, putting in arguably their best performance of the year.
Lokotui Scores Her First NRLW Try!
Coming off the back of four consecutive defeats and a tough away trip to Queensland against eventual Premiers, Brisbane, the Bulldogs faced another tough task against the finals-bound Sharks.
After a high-energy start, it was youngster Simina Lokotui who pounced on a loose pass before streaking 50 metres downfield to score first NRLW try.
While the Sharks hit back soon after, the Bulldogs continued to build momentum and extended their lead to four at the break with an additional penalty goal.
Quinlan Puts MacGregor Over
The second half did not disappoint with the Blue and White tsunami in full force, with ruthless defence and a pouring of attacking flair putting the side in prime position.
Five-eighth Ash Quinlan threw a superb cut-out pass to rookie winger Elizabeth MacGregor to extend the scores, before Shannon Muru ran a trademark line to touch down.
Muru Goes Through
While Cronulla hit back to maintain their positioning in the contest, it was only appropriate that Co-Captain and former Shark Tayla Preston put her exclamation mark on the contest, bamboozling her opponents and crashing over from dummy half.
The final minutes saw a ten-point difference after the Sharks crossed for their third try, but Brayden Wiliame's side held on to secure their third victory of the season in an emphatic 24-14 win.
