Five Bulldogs NRLW players have been selected in the Tonga Women's XIII side to compete in the 2025 Pacific Championship.
Moana Courtenay, Kalosipani Hopoate, Simina Lokotui, Shannon Muru, Pauline Suli-Ruka have been rewarded for their form for the Bulldogs throughout the Club's inaugural NRLW season.
Tonga XIII will face off against Cook Islands (October 18) and the PNG Orchids (October 25) in their Pacific Bowl campaign, with both matches set to be staged at Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
Courtenay Scores the Bulldogs' First NRLW Try!
The selections come following breakout seasons for NRLW rookies Courtenay, Lokotui and Suli-Ruka, who all made their first-grade debut at the Club throughout the season.
Courtenay, 25, created history as the Club's first-ever try-scorer in the NRLW, and claimed the Bulldogs' Rookie of the Year after making the move from rugby union in the off-season.
Lokotui, 19, featured in seven matches for the Bulldogs in her debut season, starting in the centres before moving onto the wing. Her first try in the NRLW saw her touch down in the emphatic Round 10 win over the Sharks.
Suli-Ruka, 19, featured in five matches in 2025, and made her debut in the thrilling Magic Round draw against the Gold Coast Titans. Her versitility proved to be valuable throughout the season, playing both in the second row and centres when required.
Muru Goes Through
Hopoate, 20, enjoyed a strong fourth season in the NRLW, providing plenty of impact in the middle of the field for the Bulldogs in her ten appearances for the side, and will have the opportunity to add to her two appearances for Tonga.
Muru, 27, was a constant in the Bulldogs' forward pack in 2025, with her previous NRLW experience invaluable throughout the Club's inaugural campaign. Much like Hopoate, she featured in ten NRLW matches in 2025, having already played two matches for Tonga.
