Moments That Made 2025: Six Wins to Start 2025

In this series, we’ll be celebrating the best of our 90-Year Anniversary – from our Club events to our record-breaking crowds and best performances – these are the moments that made 2025.

For the second edition, we’re highlighting our six-match winning streak to start the season – which equaled our best-ever start to a year!

NRL Match Highlights: Bulldogs vs Titans - Round 2, 2025

The season kicked off in strong fashion with a 28-20 win over rivals St George Illawarra at Nestrata Stadium, with returning Bulldog Marcelo Montoya scoring the side’s first try of 2025, before new signing Sitili Tupouniua bulldozed his way to a match-sealing double in the span of six minutes.

One week later the Bulldogs piled on the points at the Club’s hallowed turf of Belmore Sports Ground against the Gold Coast Titans. In what could be described as the epitome of a team performance, with seven different try scorers in the 40-24 win.

Next up was Round 3 against arch-rivals the Parramatta Eels at Commbank Stadium; and while this one was much closer than anticipated, the Blue and Whites prevailed 16-8, with Daniel Suluka-Fifita crashing over for his first try in the NRL.

NRL Match Highlights: Bulldogs vs Knights - Round 5, 2025

Round 4 marked one of the best road trip victories of the season; a convincing 20-6 victory over 2024 Preliminary Finalists, Cronulla. On a chilly night in the Sutherland Shire, Cameron Ciraldo’s men prevailed thanks to a double to former Shark, Bronson Xerri, while young gun Jack Todd made his long-awaited NRL debut.

The Bulldogs made sure to mark their first home game at Accor Stadium of the year with a statement. They did just that against the Newcastle Knights, shutting out the visitors 20-nil in the perfect way to celebrate Multicultural Round, with Kurt Mann sealing the win in his 200th NRL match.

But the sixth and last consecutive victory was arguably the best, a 32-nil demolition of South Sydney in the annual Good Friday match.

With Accor Stadium packed to the rafters, the Bulldogs ran in five tries to nil in their first shutout of the Rabbitohs since 1973 while recording just their second six-nil start to a season, equaling the efforts of the 1938 Premiership-winning side.
