Young gun Jethro Rinakama has rounded off an epic year by taking out the 2025 Terry Lamb NSW Cup Player of the Year Award.

After making his NRL debut, Jethro Rinakama has capped off an epic season by being named as the 2025 Terry Lamb NSW Cup Player of the Year.
Despite still being able to qualify for the Club’s SG Ball Cup (Under 19s) and Jersey Flegg Cup (Under 21s), Rinakama rose exponentially throughout 2025, featuring in the NRL side’s Pre-Season Challenge campaign, the NSW Cup and the NRL at different stages of the year.
After gaining recognition in the Pre-Season Challenge, where he scored three tries in two appearances, which saw him re-signed until the end of the 2027 season.
Rinakama began the season in the NSW Cup competition, again adding to his tryscoring feats with a double in the opening match against St George Illawarra.
Rinakama’s reward came in Round 19 of the NRL season, where he was given his first-grade debut, scoring a try against the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville. Just one week later, he found himself as the match-winner against the Dragons, scoring the decisive try.
The Bankstown and Chester Hill junior finished his NSW Cup campaign with an impressive 14 tries from 14 appearances along with 14 linebreaks while averaging a staggering 157 metres per game.
"It's pretty surreal, especially being in my first year of NSW Cup," Rinakama said.
"Playing first-grade was the best, a dream come true. It's definitely one of those memories I'll take with me for the rest of my career."

2025 Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership Player of the Year: Ambryn Murphy-Haua
Ambryn Murphy-Haua has been named as the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership Player of the Year.
The Bulldogs’ Captain has played in all 10 matches so far of the 2025 campaign – scoring two tries. After embracing a move to fullback from the halves, Murphy-Haua has provided the team with another dimension in attack both in ball playing and running game.
Murphy-Haua's leadership and strong communication also played a major role in the Bulldogs’ five victories across the season, earning the honour as Player of the Year in her first season as Captain.
"It's so surreal, I wasn't expecting it honestly," Murphy-Haua explained.
"I got a bit of experience being in the Tarsha Gale Cup, but it certainly helps playing with a lot of the girls throughout the grades.
"We've all come through and aiming for NRLW now. It's been great having that same group around."
2025 Hazem El Masri Jersey Flegg Cup Player of the Year: Bailey Myers
Bailey Myers has taken out the 2025 Hazem El Masri Jersey Flegg Cup Player of the Year award.
The youngster played in all 24 matches for the Bulldogs in 2025 – the only player in the squad to do so – starting the season at lock before making the move into the no.9 jersey in the last eight games of the season.
Averaging 71 minutes over the course of the season, playing 80 for a majority of his appearances, the workhorse forward also averaged an impressive 46 tackles per game.
With 3 tries, two assists, five linebreaks, three linebreak assists and an average of 110 metres with the ball in hand, Myers certainly made a strong impression on Head Coach Josh Jackson with his team-first attitude, grit and preparation.
"It's pretty special, being a local junior and being at the Bulldogs since I was 15. "It could have gone to so many boys in our side," Myers said.
"I felt it was pretty good and pretty consistent, playing every Jersey Flegg Cup game. I enjoyed it and learned a lot especially from our Head Coach Josh Jackson.
"He's definitely made me a better player."
