Donate and help Cam and the Australian Bobsleigh team carve a path to the 2026 Winter Olympics!

A former NYC player at the Bulldogs, Cam is now aiming to become an Olympian with the Australian Bobsleigh team at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.

However, with multiple months overseas including specialised equipment, international travel, coach and race fees, Cam and the Australian Bobsleigh team needs your help to qualify to the 2026 Winter Olympics by competing in the North American Cup Circuit held later this year.

After enjoying a career at the Bulldogs in the Club's NYC team of 2017, where he admittedly 'scored a few tries outside of Jayden Okunbor', Cam - who currently works as a nurse unit manager - moved into his latest sporting conquest after a chance meeting at his local gym.

But for him to achieve it, he needs your help in order to help the Australian Bobsleigh team become Olympians in 2026.

"I was lucky enough I was training at the gym at the same time as one of the 2018 Olympians," he explained.

"I had just finished playing footy and he just kept saying 'mate you'd be fantastic at this' based on some of the things I was doing at the gym. He stayed persistent and one thing led to another and I booked a flight to Canada to give it a whirl.

"To be it blankly, there's zero funding that goes to us. We've had to organise a lot of crowd funding and all the team have an Australian Sports Foundation platform page where you can make 100% tax deductible donation.

"In the end, on average it clocks up to about $20,000-$30,000 per team member, and we're looking at north of $120,000 to be away for the 4-6 month period. We're going to leave in about a month's time so we fly over in September for a 6-month pre-season in Calgary and race from November

"I really appreciate the Bulldogs getting behind me and giving back to one of their ex players. It just shows the Club's community-focused endeavours. I want to give a massive thanks to the Bulldogs and everyone who has donated."
