Round 22 NRL Team News: 'Dogs Face Cats

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs side to face the Wests Tigers at CommBank Stadium has been named.

The Bulldog and Tigers will be supporting the Goanna Academy's 'Stick With It' campaign in Round 22, turning sports strapping tape into a powerful symbol of mental resilience.

Wrapped on the wrist, it becomes a visible sign of support—a reminder to stick with it when it comes to your mental health, and to stick by others when they need it most.

This campaign is more than a gesture. It’s a movement to break the stigma, start real conversations, and raise funds for Goanna Academy’s life-changing mental health and wellbeing programs in schools and communities across Australia.

Forward Josh Curran is set to play his 100th NRL match, having made his NRL debut in 2019. Since joining the Bulldogs in 2024, Curran has played 38 games in the Blue and White, scoring six tries.

One major change has been made to Cameron Ciraldo's squad, with Jacob Kiraz taking hold of the no.1 jersey in place of the sidelined Connor Tracey.

Jethro Rinakama comes onto the wing, while the rest of the backline remains intact with two-try hero Bronson Xerri and Captain Stephen Crichton in the centres and Enari Tuala on the other wing.

Curran Crosses First!

Halves Matt Burton and Lachlan Galvin reprise their place in the halves after starring roles in Sunday's win. Max King, Reed Mahoney and Sam Hughes - fresh off his first career double - make up the front row.

Viliame Kikau, Jacob Preston and Jaeman Salmon round off the starting side in the back row.

Kurt Mann, Harry Hayes, centurion Josh Curran and Bailey Hayward make up the interchange bench. Mitchell Woods, Blake Wilson, Daniel Suluka-Fifita, Kurtis Morrin and Toby Sexton have been named on the extended bench.

Don't let a bet take you away from the match.

Reclaim the Game, be gamble aware.
