NRLW Round 2 Match Preview: Thursday in Tigertown

The Bulldogs claimed a historic victory over the Knights in their first NRLW game. Now, they're chasing two in a row, with Co-Captains Tayla Preston and Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa out to lead their  side to another win.

On the other hand, the Wests Tigers are out to turn Campbelltown Sports Stadium into a fortress as they prepare to host the competition newcomers on Thursday night.

Andie Robinson Press Conference: NRLW Round 2

There were promising signs from a young Tigers squad in Brisbane last weekend and Kezie Apps will look to set the tone up front as they look to build on that performance.

The two teams enter the prime-time clash in contrasting positions, with the Bulldogs sitting in the Top 6 since after their opening-round win, while the Tigers will be eager to rebound after a Round 1 loss to the Broncos.

Team News

Bulldogs: After recording a maiden win in their first ever NRLW game, there have been minimal changes made to the team, with Ebony Prior once again named to start at hooker, with Shaquaylah Mahakitau-Monschau coming from the bench in 14. Although named this way for Round 1, they were a late game day switch last week.

Wests Tigers: Coach Brett Kimmorley has named an unchanged side as the Tigers host the Bulldogs to get Round 2 underway. After holding their own in the opening half against the Broncos, the side were unable to keep pace in the second, but new recruits including fullback Jetaya Faifua and NRLW debutant Caitlin Turnbull on the wing showed signs of positive things to come.
