NRL Round 17 Team News: Premiers Pressure Test

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs side to face the Penrith Panthers at CommBank Stadium has been named. 

A Thursday night thriller beckons for Cameron Ciraldo's men as they face the defending Premiers in the NRL's Beanie for Brain Cancer Round.

Local junior Marcelo Montoya is set to play his 150th NRL match, having made his NRL debut with the Club back in 2017. 

A Fiji Test representative, Montoya returned to the Club this season after four seasons at the Warriors, and has scored seven tries and made nine line breaks in his thirteen NRL appearances so far in 2025, averaging 153 metres per game.

Head Coach Ciraldo has named a number of players to return from State of Origin duty, including Captain Stephen Crichton, Matt Burton, Max King and Kurt Mann. 

A new-look bench includes Josh Curran and Lachlan Galvin, while NSW Under 19s duo Mitchell Woods and Jethro Rinakama have been named on the extended bench.
