Make The Call! Join the CBRA Today!

Kick-start your refereeing career by joining the Canterbury-Bankstown District Rugby League Referees’ Association.

The CBRA is on the look-out for its next generation of officials, with the association posing as the perfect stepping stone for anyone who has ever thought about becoming a referee.

Refereeing offers a number of benefits, including physical activity, an extra source of income and a chance to get a unique perspective of rugby league.

It’s also great opportunity to connect with other officials, coaches and players, while also developing teamwork, communication, leadership and decision-making skills.
Did you know a referee can run up to seven kilometers and make up to 300 decisions during a game?

There are approximately 50 members of the Association, who officiate in over 100 games in the local community each weekend.

With experience and dedication, referees can progress through the ranks to one day potentially officiate at the highest level of the sport.

Current NRL referee Adam Gee is a product of the CBRA, while there are two members officiating in the NSWRL senior competitions and four members officiating in the NSWRL junior reps competitions.

There are also budding referees in the emerging squad, who are being developed for those higher competitions.
