The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce the re-signing of two of its brightest young players, Alekolasimi Jones and Cassius Tia.
The pair have both extended their time in Belmore until the end of the 2026 season after starring in the Club’s Pathways system for a number of seasons.
Jones, affectionately known as ‘AJ’, has been involved in the Club’s Pathways system since the age of seventeen.
A dynamic ball-playing forward, Jones has played SG Ball Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup and NSW Cup as a Bulldog, having recently completed his first pre-season training with the NRL side. Still eligible for the Jersey Flegg Cup, Jones has made three NSW Cup appearances so far in 2025.
Tia, a halfback or five-eighth that has the versatility to play in the outside backs, was a key figure in the Premiership-winning Jersey Flegg Cup side in 2024. The Auckland-born playmaker scored a try and kicked a decisive conversion in the 14-12 victory.
He has since made seven appearances for the NSW Cup side in 2025, with his versatility a highlight that has seen him play at halfback, in the centres and from the interchange bench.
Both players got a taste of NRL football after making appearances in the 2025 Pre-Season Challenge and will be pushing to make their first-grade debuts in the coming seasons.
