Pre-Season Challenge Week 3 Team News: Bulldogs Battle Broncos

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs side to take the field for the second Pre-Season Challenge match against the Brisbane Broncos has been named.  

The Bulldogs will travel north to Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe, QLD to face the Broncos at 5:30pm AEDT in their second and final Pre-Season Challenge match prior to the 2025 NRL season kick off on March 8. 

Head Coach Cameron Ciraldo has named a strong squad to face the Broncos, including Captain Stephen Crichton as well as the likes of Matt Burton, Reed Mahoney and Viliame Kikau. 

Connor Tracey has been named at fullback, 2025 recruit Marcelo Montoya will start on the wing alongside Blake Wilson, while Bronson Xerri joins Crichton in the centres.  

Toby Sexton will join forces with Burton in the halves, while bookends Max King and Sam Hughes take their place in the front row.

Kikau is joined by partner-in-crime Jacob Preston in the back row, with Kurt Mann named in his first match for the Club since Round 25 last year.

Bailey Hayward is named in the no.14 jersey after starting at hooker last week, joined by All Stars representatives Josh Curran and Kurtis Morrin, while Jaeman Salmon reverts to the bench.

Match Highlights - Pre-Season Challenge: Week 2, 2025

A number of youngsters have been named in the extended side following strong performances in last week's match, including Jethro Rinakama, Joseph O'Neill, Cassius Tia, Jonathan Sua and Luke Smith alongside NRL squad members Blake Taaffe and Harry Hayes.

Bulldogs Members and supporters travelling interstate will be treated to a double header, with the Dolphins and Gold Coast Titans doing battle at 7:30pm AEDT.
