Bulldogs Academy Team List: Round 1

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Junior Representative sides have been named for Round 1 of their respective seasons.

The Harold Matthews Cup and SG Ball Cup sides kick off their campaign against the Canberra Raiders, while the Lisa Fiaola Cup and Tarsha Gale Cup will face the North Sydney Bears.

A word from the Coach, Mark O'Meley:

"The boys have continually worked hard in the pre-season to prepare themselves for the season ahead," he said. 

"The work has been done and the lads are ready to start, and are constantly working hard and working together. 

At the moment it is about us and our identity at the Club. We will continue to grow together as a team.

"We have instilled the mentality that we want to compete in all the little moments and to be the best version of ourselves. 

"That is our goal; to compete on everything anywhere and anytime."

A word from the Coach, Steve Turner: 

“Like all teams, the boys have worked hard throughout the summer to have themselves ready for the season ahead,” he said. 

“We’re very happy with how the team has come together and applied themselves on working on the fundamentals to continue to get better.

The squad features a number of the boys from last year’s SG Ball side as well as many of our Harold Matthews players from 2024 who have transitioned into the program.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the team build on from the trial period and put into practice what we have worked on over the past few months.”
