Round 14 Team News: Bulldogs to Battle Eels in i4Give Cup Clash

Since the initiative was launched, the Bulldogs and Eels have shared the Cup winning once each. The Round 14 fixture will be the third time the rivals play for the Cup rights and it is sure to be a competitive battle to break the 1-1 tie come the public holiday this Monday.

Following his Origin duties, Bulldogs Captain Stephen Crichton has been named to return at centre. Jacob Kiraz will shift to the wing, replacing the injured Josh Addo-Carr. The veteran winger sustained a high-grade tear to his right hamstring in last week's match and is set to be sidelined for up to 10 weeks.

Round 13 standout Reed Mahoney will face his former side for the second time this year. The hooker was heavily involved last week's fierce win, making 48 tackles and setting up three tries. Fellow standout performer, Jacob Preston will also look to continue his strong form. The backrower has charged across the line four times in his last three matches.

Matt Burton returns at five-eighth and will partner Toby Sexton in the halves.

Lipoi Hopoi remains on the bench following a brilliant debut last week. The local junior will play his second game alongside childhood teammate Bailey Hayward, who joins him on the bench, as Kurt Mann makes a start at lock.
