Round 13 Team News: Bulldogs v Newcastle

Head Coach Cameron Ciraldo has named his side to face the Newcastle Knights this Friday evening at McDonald Jones Stadium.

Following a dominant 44-12 victory over the St. George Illawarra Dragons, the Bulldogs will be looking to continue their form against the Knights.

Jacob Preston moves into the starting line-up replacing the injured Viliame Kikau, who underwent surgery yesterday to repair a fracture of his ring finger. The enforcer will be sidelined for up to six weeks as a result of the injury sustained during the Round 12 clash.

Captain Stephen Crichton and five-eighth Matt Burton drop out of the squad due to their Origin call ups while Kurt Mann returns at lock to face his former side.

Drew Hutchison also returns to partner Toby Sexton in the halves.

After scoring two tries and amassing three line breaks, Jacob Kiraz moves into the centres to replace the skipper. Blake Wilson will step up to take his place on the wing having scored 2 tries in 3 games earlier this season.

Round 12 standout Jaeman Salmon will look to continue his defensive form against the Knights this week after making 41 tackles with none missed in Round 7.
