Round 5 Team News: Bulldogs to face Roosters

The unavailability of three players off the back of the Good Friday clash means the injection of some young pups to the Bulldogs for Friday's blockbuster match against the Sydney Roosters at Accor Stadium.

Sam Hughes moves into the starting line-up while Blake Wilson returns to the wing.

Curran will slot into the No.12 jersey replacing the injured Jacob Preston who could be sidelined with a hairline jaw fracture sustained against the Rabbitohs over the weekend.

Kitione Kautoga, who played just one maiden NRL game for the Tigers, comes into the 17 as cover and will make his NRL Club debut for the Bulldogs.

Elsewhere on the interchange, Kurt Mann retains his spot providing an injection of experience against a strong Roosters outfit. 23-year-old Harrison Edwards also comes in, bringing 16 games of NRL experience with him.

Bronson Xerri waits patiently at 18th man while Toby Sexton, Bailey Hayward, Chris Patolo and Poasa Fa'amausili round out the extended squad.

Due to mandatory concussion protocols and suspension, Josh Addo-Carr and Kurtis Morrin are omitted from the squad this week.

The Bulldogs' young pups will draw inspiration from the 'Dogs of War' as the Club reflects on and celebrates the 20th anniversary of the 2004 Premiership over the Sydney Roosters this Friday.

Don't miss the blockbuster event that unites Bulldogs' legends past and present, with the 2004 squad confirmed to attend and cheer on the blue and white.
