Three Bulldogs Earn Indigenous All Stars Selection

The NRL has today announced the return of Harvey Norman All Stars and the Bulldogs are proud to confirm three players will represent their heritage in the upcoming match to be played on February 16 in Townsville.

The match, which will be hosted at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, will include Josh Addo-Carr, Josh Curran and Bailey Biondi-Odo, who have all been announced in the Indigenous Men’s side.

Josh Addo-Carr has represented the Indigenous All Stars three times, including Captaining the side in 2022. A tough decision ruled him out in 2023, as he battled to recover from a gruelling 2022 season where he was one of the standouts in Australia's triumphant Rugby League World Cup campaign. This year, he makes his return.

New recruit, Josh Curran also returns to the Indigenous All Stars line-up, while Bailey Biondi-Odo will pull on the All Stars jersey for the first time in 2024.

While speaking on selection to the squad on Tuesday night, Addo-Carr stressed its cultural significance to those who pull on the jersey:

“Playing this game is the same as making the Origin team or Australian team,” Addo-Carr said.

We don’t get too many opportunities to represent our culture, and this is the best way to do it. Origin means something to the players, and for us boys, this means the absolute world.

“Coaches want players to be game ready – and this is the perfect game to get started.”

The All Stars matches will be broadcast live on the Nine Network, Fox League, Kayo Sports, Sky Sport New Zealand and Watch NRL.
