Development trials kick off 2023 Academy Program

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs held it's first event of the 2023 Academy Program calendar with Development Trials held last Saturday afternoon at Belmore Sports Ground.

Participants from the Canterbury-Bankstown Junior Rugby League District took part across the day, with three trial matches being played.

The trials for U14/U15 Development, U16/U17 (Harold Mathews Cup) and U18/U19 (SG Ball Cup) gave Bulldog's Development Pathways Staff insight into the next crop of local talent in the lead up to next year's 2023 Junior Representative Program.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Academy plays an important role in the the success of the club.

Last weekend's development trials attracted 350+ applicants who expressed interest in the summer development program. With over 180 players taking part last Saturday with the ambitions to feature in next year's Bulldog's representative sides.

The 2023 Academy Program will continue with a Jersey Flegg Trial to take place on Saturday October 1 at Belmore Sports Ground.
