Injury Ward: Round 13 Update

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs has provided the latest on the Club's injury front.

Braidon Burns

  • Injury: Grade 3 MCL Sprain
  • Estimated recovery time-frame: 6-8 weeks

Braidon Burns underwent scans after an injury to the right knee during the Round 9 match against St George Illawarra Scans revealed a grade 3 MCL sprain. Burns is currently immobilised in a brace and will now begin his rehabilitation process.

Luke Thompson

  • Injury: Ruptured Lisfranc Ligament
  • Estimated recovery time-frame: 4-5 months

Luke Thompson ruptured his lisfranc ligament during a mid-week pre-season field session. Luke underwent stabilisation surgery and is working with the Club to manage his rehabilitation.

Bailey Biondi-Odo

  • Injury: ACL Reconstruction
  • Estimated recovery time-frame: 9 months

Bailey Biondi-Odo suffered an ACL injury in last season's 2022 NSW Cup Elimination Final against the Parramatta Eels in September. Bailey is progressing well and has commenced on-field running. He is projected to make a successful return in July.

Viliame Kikau

  • Injury: Pec Tendon Rupture
  • Estimated recovery time-frame: 3-4 months

Viliame Kikau suffered a pectoral muscle injury during training in the week leading into Round 7. Scans revealed a full rupture and he has since undergone repair surgery and is recovering well. He has now begun the rehabilitation process.
