Lachlan Lewis has come a long way since making his debut for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the Canterbury Cup NSW in 2017.
The nephew of Rugby League Immortal Wally Lewis started his career in Brisbane before signing a two-year deal to play with the ‘Dogs in 2016.
He was playing in the Bulldogs NSW Cup team in 2018 when an opportunity presented itself after Moses Mbye left-mid season to join Wests Tigers and Kieran Foran suffered a season-ending injury.
Lewis finished up playing nine matches in 2018, including a memorable match against the Warriors on his 22nd birthday when he scored a try and kicked a field goal to win the match 27-26 for his team, and managed 15 games for the club last year.
He started the season wearing the No.7 jumper for the ‘Dogs but could be under pressure to retain it when the NRL season resumes from the coronavirus pandemic on May 28 with Kieran Foran tipped to return from injury.
