Jersey Flegg and Canterbury Cup defeated by Eels

The club's Jersey Flegg and Canterbury Cup teams both suffered defeats on the weekend to the Parramatta Eels.

In the opening games of their respective competitions held at Campbelltown Stadium, the Bulldogs under 20's team went down to the Eels 20-14, while the club's reserve grade side were beaten 24-16.

In the Jersey Flegg, the Eels lead 8-6 at the break and ran in four tries to three to claim victory

Meanwhile, the Canterbury Cup side trailed the Eels 20-0 at the break before running in three second half tries to close the gap.

The home side finished the game with five tries, including a George Jennings double, while Tui katoa, Morgan Harper and Jake Averillo were the only try scorers for the Bulldogs.
