Bulldogs walk to support ‘No Excuse for Abuse’

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs club took part in a community march to support the ‘No excuse for Abuse’ campaign.

Held on Friday November 29, the march started at 6pm from Gillies St Lakemba and saw people from all parts of the community come out in a great show of public support as they made their way to the finishing place at Parry Park.

The 'Community Partnership Against Violence'(CPAV) committee, led by Campsie Police Area Command and the City of Canterbury-Bankstown Council, organised the march which is in its 6th year.

Over the past five years, this event has attracted over 1,500 participants and it is expected to continue to grow. The march provides an opportunity for local residents, schools and organisations to show their support in preventing and ending Domestic Violence within the community.

Bulldogs players from the NRL, Canterbury Cup, Jersey Flegg and Harvey Norman Women's team joined coaches and administration staff in the march.
