Canterbury Cup and Jersey Flegg Finals Week 2 Team News

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Jersey Flegg and Canterbury Cup teams have been announced for the second weekend of the NSWRL finals.

The two lower grades will play at Leichhardt Oval, September 14 with the under 20s fixture kicking off at 10.50am, followed by the reserve grade match at 1.05pm.

After going down to the Dragons last weekend in extra-time, the Bulldogs Canterbury Cup side will play Wentworthville Magpies in the semi-final looking to secure a spot in next week's preliminary final.

The two sides have met twice throughout the year, with the Magpies claiming the points in both matches.

Meanwhile, the Jersey Flegg team head into the semi-final fixture against the Sydney Roosters off the back of a 22-18 win over the Newcastle Knights.

The Bulldogs and Roosters met twice earlier in the year with Canterbury claiming a one-point victory at Belmore, while the other match resulted in a draw.

The winner of both semi-finals will advance to the preliminary finals next weekend.
