The Bulldogs gave it everything against the Cowboys in Townsville, but the home side came up with a 15-8 hard-fought win.
The loss ended Canterbury’s four-match winning run, but it didn't stop Bulldogs Members and fans taking to social media to show how proud of their team they are.
Regardless of the result tonight I’m so bloody proud of my team. The Bulldogs managed to pull together and turn things around and turn negatives into positives.I couldn’t ask for more #proudtobeabulldog

The last couple of months has been amazing from Dogs. They were last!! Now they’ll enter next season with some new signings, some confidence and momentum. Love how far the team has come in second half of season. #proudtobeabulldog

I don’t care about whether we win or lose. I just ask that we compete. If we get that, everything will work out for the better. #proudtobeabulldog

True @NRL_Bulldogs fans can’t stay disappointed for long after that heartbreaker...the heart and spirit we’ve shown recently, definitely bodes well for the future (and puts some other more-talented rosters to shame)...#believe #dogsofwar #proudtobeabulldog #NRL #BillandBoz pic.twitter.com/f7bTSdFBxW

Ok, I'll get in early because Twitter is about to erupt in negativity. @NRL_Bulldogs thanks for a most enjoyable last few weeks in what has been a 'character building' season. I'm sure all the boys have learned alot and will be better next year. #proudtobeabulldog
