Smith takes early guilty plea

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs forward Chris Smith has accepted an early guilty plea after being charged by the match review committee following his side’s 18-16 win over the Wests Tigers last weekend.

Smith was charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact - Other offence following a late tackle on Ryan Matterson in the 77th minute.

The 25-year entered an early guilty plea and will avoid suspension.

He will be available for the Bulldogs clash with the Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night.
