Harold Matthews Grand Final Information

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Harold Matthews team will this week face the Newcastle Knights in the Grand Final of the under 16s competition.

The 2019 Junior Representative Grand Final fixtures will be played at the new Bankwest Stadium on Saturday, 4 May.

Harold Matthews Cup minor premiers Newcastle will take on the Bulldogs at 1pm with both teams cementing their place following respective Preliminary Final wins. 

The Knights recorded a 20-6 victory over the Panthers on Saturday before the Bulldogs enjoyed a thrilling 36-30 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs. 

This weekend’s meeting will be the third time the two sides have met in 2019 with the Knights claiming victories in both matches.

Newcastle defeated Canterbury 42-6 in round one, before claiming a 22-16 victory in the opening week of the finals series.

The Tarsha Gale and SG Ball grand finals will also be played on Saturday with the matches being live streamed on nswrl.com.au.

3pm – Illawarra Steelers v Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (UNE SG Ball Cup)
