The UNE Harold Matthews Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs side have put on an attacking masterclass to run rampant over Balmain Tigers with a 44-8 victory. Balmain opened the scoring in the 12th minute through Elijah Sarkisbut but this would prove their only try of the contest. The Bulldogs eventually overcame a lacklustre start with Anthony Baptista and Turoa Williams inspiring their dominant victory with two tries respectively.
A familiar name gets Eels home in thriller
The UNE SG Ball Parramatta Eels side has secured a thrilling victory over the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs with Brad Arthur’s son, Jakob, nailing a clutch field-goal in the dying stages. The game was an enthralling contest, with the Bulldogs second rower Jackson Topine kicking a 40/20 with just minutes to spare although his efforts were to no avail.
Newcastle impress to hold on in enthralling contest
The Newcastle Knights Tarsha Gale side have held on to defeat the Cronulla Sharks 32-28 in a see-sawing affair on Friday. The Knights goal-line defence proved the difference in the closing stages, with two tries to Sharks star Madison Higgins-Ashby not enough to see her side through to Finals Week Three.
Hay racks up points as Panthers dominate
The Manly Warringah Sea-Eagles title defence has come to a crushing end after the Panthers blew them out of the park with a dominant 44-8 victory on Friday. Jake Hay impressed for Penrith with two tries and six conversions to record an impressive 20-point haul.
Central Coast Roosters progress to the Preliminary Final
The UNE SG Ball Central Coast Roosters side have put on an impressive performance against the Canberra Raiders following a comfortable 46-16 win. Roosters five-eighth, Reece Piepers played a huge role in the victory while Luke Knight and Tommy Anderson starred with two tries each in classy attacking display.
Teagan Berry’s hat-trick secures Illawarra Steelers place in Prelim
The Harvey Norman Tarsha Gale Illawarra Steelers have defeated the Parramatta Eels 36-6 to advance to the preliminary final. Winger Teagan Berry had a brilliant performance scoring a hat-trick with her teammate Keele Brown scoring two tries to help their side to victory. Parramatta were restricted to one try in the second half through Rebekah Faucette.
