Bulldogs look forward to Magic Round

For the first time in the NRL's history, an exciting round of rugby league will be staged at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium next season.

The round, known as the Magic Round, will be a first for the NRL as all 16 teams will play at the same venue on one weekend in May.

The Magic Round is scheduled to be played in round nine from May 9-12, with the Gold Coast Titans and Cronulla Sharks kicking off the festival on Thursday night with the final match of the weekend featuring the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the North Queensland Cowboys on Sunday.

The schedule will see one game on Thursday night, two games to be played on Friday, three on Saturday and two matches on Sunday.

The concept is similar to the English Super League's 'Magic Weekend' which has been an annual part of its schedule for a decade.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will play the Newcastle Knights on Saturday May 11, kicking off at 3pm.

The match will be a home game for the Bulldogs and it's a great opportunity for the club's Queensland based Members to take advantage of their membership.

As part of the weekend, clubs will undertake community engagement initiatives in the lead-up to Magic Round, including school programs, junior development and participation programs, coaching and training development and other activities.
