Harper: I was close to not coming back

An emotional Morgan Harper discusses moving away from his family in New Zealand to start his career with the Bulldogs.

Moving into the Bulldogs house with several Jersey Flegg teammates, Morgan arrived at the Club at the end of the 2016 season.

He made his reserve grade debut in Round 11 against Newcastle, after receiving a phone call from his Jersey Flegg coach Brad Henderson, the day before:

"I didn't believe it at first, I got to the game with only a piece of paper telling me what we were doing," said Harper.

He also reflects on his role within the Intrust Super Premiership side:

"Wherever I was playing in the team, I was grateful to be there whether it was wing or centre I didn't really mind to be honest. I was just trying to do my part for the team and enjoy it, that was the main thing," added Harper.

The talented youngster admits his main goal in his rugby league career is to make his NRL debut.

"I want to make my first-grade debut, so that's always keeping me motivated," said Harper.
