Foran named at halfback for trial against Canberra

New recruit Kieran Foran will play his first game for Canterbury in their opening trial for 2018 against the Canberra Raiders.

The Bulldogs will travel to the Sunshine Coast for Saturday’s clash, which will be played at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

Foran has recovered from back and quad injuries suffered last season with the Warriors, and will take his place at halfback with Matt Frawley named at five-eighth.

Moses Mbye will play his first game for the club in the fullback position.

Coach Dean Pay has named a 32-man squad for his first game in charge of the club, with all players expected to take part in a minimum of half a game.

As a precaution, prop Aaron Woods will not travel with the team due to hamstring soreness.
