The Bulldogs announced this week that Steve Antonelli would join the club as an Assistant Coach.

Antonelli, joins the club after coaching the Mounties side that was a feeder club to the Canberra Raiders last season and has a strong relationship with Dean Pay, after their time together with the Raiders.

“It’s a privilege to come to a club that is so rich in history. The facilities are impressive, but I’m just excited to be on board and to get stuck into my role,” said Antonelli.

Steve and Dean have a very strong friendship that began three years ago in Canberra and their arrival at Belmore will see the pre-season be about getting back to the basics in order to have the side ready for 2018.

“I started with Deano about three years ago when I was full-time in Canberra and I needed a place to stay. Dean took me on board and ever since then we have become close mates. Over the summer we will get back to the basics, all the simple things and build into the season,” he added.

Along with Antonelli, David Penna and Steve Georgallis will join the coaching staff for the 2018 season.
