A new and exciting rugby league concept has been launched by New South Wales rugby league.

The concept called M8s footy is all about bringing a mate and creating a team.

It’s recreational rugby league for everyone (boys and girls) and it’s about bringing new players to the game.

There is no Coaches or trainers – team managers only, a maximum of 10 players per team, eight players on the field, the field is set across a full size rugby league field and a game is made up of two 12 minute halves.

Two gala days have been held in the Canterbury-Bankstown district over the past couple of days with under 11 boys and girls along with under 13 boys playing at Smith Park, while under 12 boys and girls and under 14 boys played at Clemton Park.
