The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will head over to Lottoland on Saturday to play the Manly Sea Eagles.

With a strong rivalry between both clubs, the Bulldogs will head into the match with some confidence after defeating the Sea Eagles in both encounters during the 2016 NRL season.

The Bulldogs defeated Manly 28-6 at Brookvale Oval in round one and again in round 23 defeating them by four, 20-16 at ANZ Stadium.

Bulldogs Coach Des Hasler has named rookies Marcelo Montoya and Brad Abbey in the team, following their NRL debuts last weekend.

Manly’s captain Daly Cherry- Evans and teammates Tom Trbojevic, Blake Green and Jackson Hastings expressed their views before the game against the Bulldogs at Lottoland on Saturday.

“That’s something we definitely can hang our hat on (defence), but that would mean we would have to go out and back it up again next week, which is the plan. We just need to keep building on our performance tonight, and our discipline and errors are two things we can fix up in our control.” Halfback DCE after the win over the Cowboys.

“There’s certainly a lot to improve on and I think just working on finding good combinations with the halves is something I know I need to work, and I’ll be looking to do that this weekend. We’re back at home this weekend and hopefully we get one for the fans. I think it’s something that Manly have always prided themselves on was home form and lately we haven’t shown that, so I think we owe one to the fans this weekend to get a win at Lottoland.” Fullback Tom Trbojevic

“It’s always a tough place to win (Lottoland), it certainly needs to be a focus obviously to get that place back to a Fortress that it once was. A way we can do that is by putting on a good performance at home and being really enthusiastic and excited about playing there. There’s nothing better than winning at home in front of them (our fans).” Five-Eight Blake Green

“There are a lot good signs going forward, but it is no good if we don’t back it up this week against the Bulldogs." Jackson Hastings
