Read more quotes from Josh Morris’ press conference at Belmore before the Bulldogs Round four clash with the Manly Sea Eagles.
on the feeling in the camp after the win…
The win has obviously lightened the mood around the joint. It’s good to kick start our season and Manly did the same up in North Queensland. It’s important that we get a back to back win, but they’re (Manly) looking for the same thing as well.
on his and Brett’s game…
We have changed up the attack a little bit and that’s allowed us to get more involved. Our attack is coming along nicely, but it’s still not where we want it to be. It will get better as the season goes on.
on Moses’ performance in Round 3…
I think he and Grub (Josh Reynolds) have been getting better week in and week out with their communication and getting us around the park. We need to get the go forward first before we start playing. The backs have been getting in and helping out early in the sets, likewise with the forwards who have been rolling up their sleeves. It’s been a real team effort.
on Josh Jackson’s early form…
He’s definitely a workhorse and he gets through plenty of work each week. He is certainly a key member of our side.
on Manly…
They have been under the same amount of pressure as us and they needed to get a win last weekend. They’ll be very confident after the win over the Cowboys and both sides need to get back to back wins this weekend.
on Daly Cherry-Evans…
He’s a great halfback. He has a great kicking game and when he runs the football, he is just as dangerous. He would have liked that win on the weekend and it will give him plenty of confidence heading into this weekend’s game.
on Brett Morris 200th NRL game…
It’s taken him a while and he did debut before I did, but I’m happy to see him get there. Hopefully he can score another double and we can get the win for him.
on the debutants in Round 3(Marcelo Montoya and Brad Abbey)…
I thought they were really good. It’s a special moment to get your first NRL game and despite being very nervous, I thought they both handled themselves very well. They will only get better with each game they play. It’s exciting times ahead for both boys.
