Young half Matt Frawley joined a host of Bulldogs players to begin preparations for season 2017 this week.

The Belconnen United Sharks junior is excited to be back and is ready to rip in.

“It feels good to be back. There’s a lot of new faces, but it’s exciting times and I’m ready for what lies ahead,” Frawley said.

“I think there’s going to be a lot of competition for spots this year.

“Everyone’s looking good. Everyone’s kept well over the off-season and we’re all ready to rip.”

Heading into his third year at the Bulldogs and following a consistent year in the club’s Intrust Super Premiership side, Frawley is expecting another tough pre-season under the watchful eye of Des Hasler.

“Every pre-season is hard and it’s not going to be any different this year.

“Last years end was a little disappointing, but the boys are ready to train hard and hopefully start the year well.

“I want to get fitter and stronger, but I’m sure we will change a few things up with our structure like we do every year.

“I just want to get a good pre-season under my belt and start next year strong,” added Frawley.

Preparations for the 2017 season will continue over the next six weeks under Des Hasler and his coaching staff, before the Christmas break.
