Des Hasler spoke with the media on Thursday morning to discuss a number of issues ahead of the Bulldogs Round 26 clash with the Rabbitohs.

Read more quotes from Thursday morning’s press conference below.

What do you make of the Rabbitohs?

They have been playing really well. They’re three from three and they have been playing a really open style of footy. I would imagine it will be a contest and one we will have to work hard at.

What do you make of the final Round and the make-up of the finals?

Where do you start? There is first and second up for grabs, the top four still fighting it out, Canberra can still get a home final and mathematically we can make the top four, but you’ve got to be optimistic about that. There are teams still fighting it out for the top eight which makes for an exciting round at this time of the year.

Make sure you're at ANZ Stadium with your colours showing your loud and proud in Round 26!

Are you worried about the Rabbitohs?

They’ve got quality players and you can’t forget they won a Grand Final two years ago.

How important is it to get a win this weekend?

Momentum is important, but this game is more about getting the little things right.

What do you make of the error count in recent weeks?

We need to correct it, but we don’t want it to become frustrating. It’s been a critical part that we need to fix, particularly against quality sides and at the moment they are all quality sides. You just want to work your possession better and we’re not doing that, but we’re trying to move on from it.

What do you make of the Rabbitohs forward pack?

They’re pretty mobile, they have some handy players in there and you can imagine their motivation is to finish the season on a high. It will be a tough game.

Has having no Sam been a difference?

You miss the way he comes off the bench and what he brings to side, but against the Cowboys last week I thought the players that come in are more than capable and it is what it is. We just get on with it.
