The final game for the Bulldogs in the regular season will see them host the in-form South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium on Friday night.
The Bunnies have won their past three games and after a thumping at the hands of the Bulldogs back in round four, back rower Greg Eastwood is expecting a finals type battle on Friday.
“The last couple of weeks against the Broncos and Cowboys has been finals type footy,” Eastwood said.
“This week’s not going to be any different and although the season is over for the Bunnies, they have hit their straps of late.
“We’ve definitely got to show up on Friday night, because we’re going to be in for a big one.”
Make sure you're at ANZ Stadium with your colours showing your loud and proud in Round 26!
The 13th placed Rabbitohs are out of the race for the finals and with nothing to lose, anything could happen at ANZ Stadium if the Bulldogs don’t worry about themselves.
“That’s the dangerous thing with any side that I guess want to go out with a bit of pride.
“Souths have shown over the last few weeks that they want to go out in a good way, but we’ve got to make sure that we show up and worry about ourselves.”
The Bulldogs will again be without Sam Kasiano on Friday night against South Sydney as he continues to serve his two-match ban and while the side would love to have him on the field, back rower Eastwood is looking forward to having the prop forward back for the finals.
“He doesn’t like the extra fitness sessions with the trainers, but we know he will be nice and fresh for the finals.”
