Sam Thaiday has taken the early guilty plea after being charged with a grade two dangerous throw from State of Origin II on Wednesday night.

Thaiday was placed on report for a first half tackle on NSW captain Paul Gallen in the Maroons' series-winning 26-16 defeat of the Blues at Suncorp Stadium.

The veteran was facing up to three weeks on the sideline, but today has take the early guilty plea and will miss the Broncos next two games against the Bulldogs and the Melbourne Storm.
