Bulldogs.com.au catches up with Junior Kiwi Reimis Smith inside their camp ahead of the clash with Junior Kangaroos.

Exciting youngster Reimis Smith will this weekend represent his country when he runs out for the Junior kiwis.

The rise of Smith has been an impressive one, with New South Wales under 18 honours in 2015, a spot in the Bulldogs 2016 Auckland Nines squad and his elevation to the full-time squad, but the honour to represent his country is one that standouts the most.

“Personally to represent my family and follow in the footsteps of my father means a lot to myself and my family,” Smith said.

“Dads proud of me, because he represented his country at a young age and for him to see me do it, has made him extremely happy.”

There’s always plenty of feeling between the curtain raiser to the Pacific test matches and Smith expects no different on Saturday afternoon.

“They’re going to have solid team as always.”

“I’m looking forward to a tough contest and hopefully we get the win.”
