Bulldogs.com.au catches up with Michael Lichaa to discuss the pre-season, his ankle injury and what the upcoming season means for the Cronulla-Caringbah junior.

An ankle injury cut his 2015 season short but after continuing to train through the off-season, he got himself back with the main training group earlier than expected and is set for a big 2016.

“The ankle injury is coming along good,” said Lichaa.

“I will be right to play trials and will definitely be right for round one.

“Our physio James Rahme has done an awesome job with me.”

Lichaa joined the club in 2015 and as he prepares to finish his second pre-season under the watchful eye of Des Hasler, he details what has changed for him in the space of 12 months.

“I’m a lot more confident.

“Last year I didn’t talk as much and I was hesitant to try things out on the field.

“This year I’m definitely more confident and not afraid to tell the players where they need to be on the field.”
