The New South Wales Rugby League has released its 2016 NSW Cup draw, with the upcoming season bound to be more exciting and entertaining than ever before.

The 2016 NSW Cup competition kicks-off on the weekend of 5-6 March with six stellar clashes bound to entertain all footy fans. Round 1 sees Premiers Newcastle begin their title defence against North Sydney; the Cutters clash with the Warriors; Wentworthville and Wyong fight it out at Ringrose; Canterbury and Newtown do battle at Belmore; Wests Tigers and Manly tussle at Leichhardt; and last year’s powerhouses Mounties and Penrith open the new season in a match-of-the-round clash at GIO Stadium.

Other key dates on this year's NSW Cup calendar including the official Country Round (Rd 9), with matches due to be played across regional NSW and specifically across the Illawarra; Round 5's rivalry match-up of Newtown and Wests Tigers, arch-rivals who both missed the 2015 NSW Cup Finals Series; and Newtown's Reunion Day in Round 24 when they play North Sydney.

Fox Sports will again broadcast each round's blue-ribbon clash live and exclusive in high definition throughout the entire regular season and finals series.
