Bulldogs.com.au catches up with rookie Jake Kamire to discuss the pre-season and more.

What do you like to do away from football?

Away from football I like spending time with my family.

What was your first job?

My first job was as in a warehouse, doing lots of heavy lifting!

What are your goals in Rugby League?

My main goals in Rugby league are to play first grade for the Bulldogs one day.

What do you love about Rugby League?

I think the thing I love most about rugby league is the physical contact.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career?

My biggest influence would be my parents and partner; they continue to support me day in and day out.

What is your earliest league memory?

My earliest memory in Rugby League was winning four grand finals in a row from Under 11’s!

What is your best moment in league so far?

My best memory in rugby league was debuting for the Bulldogs NYC side and representing in the U16 Origin competiton.

Best piece of advice you have been given?

Prove them wrong, don’t give up. If you think you’re going to win you will.

What advice would you give to a young rugby league player?

Keep on trying because dreams do come true.

Who is the player you looked up to as a kid and why?

The player I most looked up to as a kid was Mark ‘The Ogre’ O’Meley, what a beast!

What can’t you live without?

I can’t live without my family and partner, they mean everything to me.

What player do you most enjoy playing with/against?

I enjoy the challenge of playing against Addison Demetriou from the Manly Sea-Eagles.

If you could play another sport, what would it be?

I think I would try my hand at union if I were to try another sport.

If you weren’t playing league, what would you be doing?

If I was not playing league right now I would probably be still driving a forklift.

How would you like to be remembered at the end of your career?

I think I would like to be remembered as someone who was a tough competitor.
