On behalf of the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs Board of Directors I’d like to thank all the Members and fans who made the pilgrimage to Belmore Sports Ground yesterday.

As Bulldogs we have a reputation for our strong sense of community, our strong sense of family, our great love of an occasion and our appreciation for history and heritage.

All of these wonderful traits were celebrated in the sea of blue and white at Belmore Sports Ground yesterday and I was immensely  #proudtobeabulldog.

Bringing Belmore Sports Ground back to life is no small achievement and I’d like to offer particular thanks to all our administration staff, led so capably by CEO Raelene Castle, who worked so hard to ensure it was such an enjoyable day.

The long hours, the attention to detail and the commitment to ensuring a smooth event is greatly appreciated by everyone at the Bulldogs.

The loss was of course very disappointing and frustrating but we are feared at this time of the season for a reason.

I have every confidence that in our 80th season, the team will rally like Bulldogs teams of old to ensure we once again feature deep into the finals series.

Thanks once again for your tremendous support on Sunday and in anticipation of your ongoing support in the weeks to come.
