Same position, same size, same character traits. New South Wales is in good hands with two of the game’s biggest humans leading from the front.

David Klemmer and Aaron Woods first met back in 2014 when they both pulled on the City Origin jersey and it’s since then that they have become great mates.

“I love coming to camps because I know I’m rooming with him. We don’t talk much footy,” said Woods. “We have a good time, a good laugh away from the footy field.”

They are two of the brightest prospects in our game and while Woods has been a consistent performer for the Tigers over the past two years, it’s been the rise of David Klemmer over the past 12 months that has caught many eyes.

“He’s been outstanding. He stood up on the weekend for the Bulldogs when skipper James Graham went down.

“He had a hiccup a month ago, but I think he has learnt a lot from that and bounced back bigger and better.”

Both men have a very similar game and it’s those traits that Woods loves about Klemmer.

“To know someone next to you is going to run hard and tackle hard is what I love, he is unbelievable.”

After playing starring roles in game one for the Blues, both Klemmer and Woods will be looking to continue their great form against the Marrons.

“I can’t wait to play with him in game two.”
