The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs NYC team have come from behind 20-4 at half-time to defeat the Newcastle Knights 28-24 at Belmore Sportsground.

The Knights got off to a great start with three tries in the first 20 minutes, before laying on another two tries before the half-time break.

It wasn't the ideal first 40 minutes for the young pups with errors and costly penalties having them trail 20-4 at half-time.

The second half saw a change in attitude from the Bulldogs with five tries in the first 20 minutes from the blue and white allowing them to claw their way back into the match and have the scores levelled at 24 all at the three quarter break.

The final quarter saw both teams make planty of changes, but it was the Bulldogs who had the final say with a try to young half Bryce Roche adjacent to the post and give the home side a 28-24 win in their second trial of the 2015 season.

Final score: Bulldogs 28 Newcastle 24
