Bulldogs TV caught up with Trent Hodkinson after he was elevated to the City 17 due to an injury to Aiden Sezer.

Hodkinson was originally named as 18th man for the City side, but with an injury to Aiden Sezer and he been ruled out, it has given the Bulldogs half an opportuinty to impress NSW selectors.

His name has been spoken about for Origin, but for the half, this week is about just playing his own game and doing what's best for the City side.

"It's about doing my job and what ever role Fittler wants me to play, I am more than happy to do," said Hodkinson.

The City side will play Country on Sunday May 4 at Apex Oval in Dubbo.
