Bulldogs TV takes you back to round 25 of the 2009 season when the Bulldogs said farewell to Hazem El Masri in front of a crowd 41,835 at ANZ Stadium.

The 2009 season was Hazem El Masri’s final season in the NRL and final year at the club he loved.

The Bulldogs had a great year in 2009 and were oh so close from making the grand final, but were bundled out by the Parramatta Eels in the preliminary final.

It was sad to say goodbye to one of the club’s greats, but the round 25 game against the New Zealand Warriors was one for many to remember.

It was the day the club said farewell to Haz and in front of over 41,000 fans on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, it was a day for all to remember.

The Warriors came ready to play, but they were never in the contest with the Bulldogs winning 40-20.

Match Stats:

Bulldogs 40 (Morris 3, Hickey, Eastwood, Stagg tries: El Masri 8/8)

Warriors 20 (Vatuvei 2, Rapira tries: Jones 2/4)

Half-time: Bulldogs 28 Warriors 4
