The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of Australian, New South Wales and Cronulla Sharks front row forward, Andrew Fifita, for four seasons, through until the end of season 2018.

The 24-year-old will join the Bulldogs at the end of season 2014.

Fifita, a Griffith junior, rose to stardom in 2013, playing three games for New South Wales and six tests for Australia, including being a part of the victorious World Cup side.

“It’s a decision that I didn’t take lightly and something that I talked over a lot with my family and those close to me,” Fifita said. “The Bulldogs have a quality playing roster and it’ll be exciting times when I arrive at the club in preparation for season 2015 and beyond.

“I am fully committed to the Sharks for the remainder of 2014 and I’ll be eagerly awaiting my arrival at the Bulldogs next season.”

Chief Executive Raelene Castle is excited about the prospect of seeing Fifita in the blue and white.

“Andrew is a strong acquisition to the club,” Castle said. “He has burst on to the scene over the last couple of years and we know he will continue to make a significant impact for the Bulldogs.”

Coach Des Hasler is looking forward to working with Fifita.

“Andrew has worked hard on his game and will be a welcomed addition to the team.”
