The Bulldogs Holden Cup side will open their 2014 season with a clash against the Brisbane Broncos on Friday at 5.45pm.

The match will be a very entertaining one with both sides last season taking part in the Finals Series. The Broncos bundled out in the first week of the finals, after losing a thriller to the Tigers whilst the Bulldogs were again ousted one game before the Grand Final by eventual Premiers, the Panthers.

With 2013 NYC regulars Adam Elliott, Renouf To’omaga, Danny Fualalo. Shaun Lane, Jack Creighton and Denzel King all eligible to go round again for another year, the side is looking as though it will again be one to watch.

Coach Andy Patmore will be keeping a close eye on the Broncos side though.

“They have a large number of players who are going around for a second year as well so they’ll be well versed on what is expected at this level,” he said.

“We had two trials where we gave a large number of guys a run but even though we’ve got a few injuries I’m happy with where the side is at and we’ll be prepared for a tough match.”

All Bulldogs members and fans are encouraged to get out to ANZ Stadium early to support the next crop of talent here at the club.
