Bulldogs TV caught up with Ex-Bulldog Phil Sigsworth to give us his memories of Belmore.

Phil Sigsworth played 109 games for Newtown from 1977 to 1982 as a fullback.

Phil played in the 1981 Grand Final against Parramatta.

In 1983, Phil joined Manly to play 34 games between 1983 and 1984. He played in the 1983 Grand Final against Parramatta.

Phil played three games for NSW between 1981 and 1983 and played one Test for Australia in 1981.

Phil joined Canterbury in 1985 and started the season late. He received the opportunity to play first grade against Canberra when Terry Lamb was injured.

Phil became a regular member of the reserve grade team and played in the Semi-Final against Canberra. In 1986, Phil started the season as reserve grade captain but returned to first grade when Mick Potter was injured.

Phil played in the Grand Final against Parramatta but was unfortunate to be sent off at a critical stage of the game.

CLUB STATS - 1985-1986 - 46 Canterbury grade games - 24 Canterbury First grade games - 4 tries and 2 goals - Member of the Bulldogs Ambassadors Club.
