The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are excited to release the jersey that will be worn for the inaugural 2014 Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines Tournament next month.

The all new “Royal Gold” Jersey takes elements of the traditional logo and values of the Club and combines that with a blend of royal blue, black and metallic gold to create an impressive new design.

Bulldogs winger and Kiwi International, Sam Perrett, modelled the new kit and is looking forward to the tournament.

"I'm really excited for the Auckland Nines. It's going to be an awesome event and it’ll be great to spend some time back in New Zealand, it’ll be really special for me," Perrett said.

“The jersey looks great, all the boys are looking forward to the chance to play a different style of rugby league.

We’re all hoping that we get selected to play so we can keep this special piece of memorabilia.”

The Eden Park event on February 15 and 16 is sure to be entertaining and will feature all 16 NRL Clubs, each wearing specific Auckland Nines Jerseys. Chief Executive Raelene Castle is pleased with the new design that the Bulldogs and Canterbury have put together.

“The Auckland Nines is an exciting new development for Rugby League and a great platform for innovative designs and pushing the boundaries of our traditional sport,” Castle said.

“We have taken the opportunity to be distinct in our appearance at the event and we expect these jerseys to be a big hit with our Members and fans.”

The Bulldogs “Royal Gold” Nines Jersey will be available for purchase from the Bulldogs Teamstore and online at www.bulldogs.com.au in early February.
